Resolved, That the report on The Lutheran Church — Missouri
Synod Foundation be accepted; and be it further

Resolved, That the convention of the Synod give a vote of
thanks and commendation to the Fiscal Conference and to the
Board of Directors for their prompt and decisive action in taking
the necessary steps to establish The Lutheran Church — Missouri
Synod Foundation and engaging an executive director.

Resolved, That the memorial regarding The Lutheran Church
— Missouri Synod Foundation (page 653b of Reports and
Memorials) be adopted, to wit:

“WHEREAS, The Lord of the church has placed before our
Synod many remarkable opportunities for Gospel testimony, both
at home and abroad; and

“Wuereas, Our church is limited in the extent of its acceptance
of these missionary opportunities by the lack of the necessary
means; and

“WueErEAs, The Synodical Board of Directors in its meeting of
September 8, 1958, established, and the Fiscal Conference in its
meeting of September 9 to 11, 1958, ratified, the plan of The Lu-
theran Church — Missouri Synod Foundation; therefore be it

“Resolved, That The Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod in
convention assembled at San Francisco, California, June 17 to 26,
1959, herewith ratify and approve the action of the Synodical
