Action: This resolution was adopted. Rejection of Report of Advisory Committee on Doctrine and Practice RESOLUTION 12, COMMITTEE 3 Memorial 625, page 526, Reports and Memorials Wuereas, The Advisory Committee on Doctrine and Practice was assigned the duty of examining an essay delivered at conven- tions of the Southern California District and the California-Nevada District in 1949; and Wuereas, The Advisory Committee on Doctrine and Practice thoroughly studied this essay and consulted with its author with regard to its intent and meaning; and Wuereas, The Advisory Committee on Doctrine and Practice also consulted repeatedly and at length with those who objected to the position taken by the essay in question; and Wuereas, The published report of this committee showed that the committee dealt with the matters entrusted to it with eminent fairness; and Wuereas, The report clearly shows that the concerns expressed in Memorial 625 are without valid foundation and that the Word of God has not been violated; and Wuereas, The report of the Advisory Committee on Doctrine and Practice was approved by the 1956 synodical convention; therefore be it Resolved, That we reaffirm the approval of the report of the Advisory Committee on Doctrine and Practice given at that con- vention. Action: This resolution was adopted.
