SEMINARIES AND COLLEGES 141

Wuereas, The Synod has adopted new regulations governing
the membership of Boards of Control; therefore be it

Resolved, That these members, together with the members of
the other South American Boards of Control and the Brazil Dis-
trict Board for Higher Education, be thanked for their past earnest
and faithful services and their reports to this convention; and be
it further

Resolved, That this convention not elect or re-elect these
boards; and be it finally

Resolved, That the President of the Synod be authorized to
appoint a Board of Control for the new institution to be estab-
lished at Sao Paulo, which board is to serve without standing for
election until after the second synodical convention of The Lu-
theran Church — Missouri Synod hence.
