The number of television stations actually on the air has risen in this span from 157 to 465; the number of television receivers from 21,500,000 to 32,000,000. The Federal Communica- tions Commission has before it for consideration literally hundreds of applications for additional television channels, and it has been estimated that the United States has a potential of a total of a thousand television stations within the next five years. It appears certain that the twentieth-century miracle of television will be destined to play an increasingly important part in the execution of the Savior’s great missionary command, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature!” All glory to God alone!
