Representatives of The Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod who assisted in the preparation of this document were Dr. J. W. Behnken, Dr. H. Harms, and Dr. J. H. Meyer. There being considerable corifusion as to the validity of the conclusions reached in the document, since the statement is made that the President of our Synod acted without proper authority, and that the acceptance of the document by the Synodical Con- ference has no pertinent relation to our Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod, we respectfully request that our Synod ratify the document in question, which will be found printed in full in the Proceedings of the Forty-second Convention of the Ev. Luth. Synodical Conference, pages 149 to 156. ; Cuas. W. NiE.sen, Eagle, Wis. Aurrep H. Knier, Milwaukee, Wis.
