nificance of the Word in their lives. As we see the love God has
for us in Christ and contemplate how Christ lived to serve us
while here on earth, the dedication and determination to be
about the mission Christ has given us will be strengthened. As
we respond in love to God’s love for us we will be moved to use

more effectively our time. talent, and treasure in His service.
The department seeks to assist every member and every
organization of the Synod as each strives to achieve these
objectives. It will attempt to fulfill its responsibilities. In this
way the department will follow our Lord and help our Synod to
better preach and teach His Word in the years ahead.
