884 - PARISH EDUCATION

Education is aware that there are areas of work which requi
tention, but which cannot be taken care of by our present,
We respectfully call attention to the need for additional man
in the areas of audio-visual education, adult education,
field work. .
1. A Staff Expert on Audio-Visual Aids
The preparation of scripts for Bible stories, filmstrips,  fili
promotional and teaching materials, is a specialized work that;
present staff cannot adequately discharge. For maximum eff
tiveness, visual-aids materials should be closely correlated
the printed materials. Demand from the field shows the need
activity in this area.

2. An Assistant in the Adult Education Department
The field of Adult Education looms so large that it ap
necessary to provide an assistant to our Secretary of Adult Edi
tion in the near future. Our congregations have been very re
tive to the initial work in the field of adult education. Help ‘
be needed, however, to adequately service this area, ;

3. One or More Field Workers

There is increasing demand for the services of our staff meth
bers at conferences, meetings held for educational purposes, aie
counseling on problems of Christian education, Our staff memb
try very hard to serve all who request their services. They.

parish education” and thus able to counsel on any phase of par
education would be very helpful in our work.
