That Res. 12~08 be revised. Since the convention is being asked to dele- gate to another body a very responsible function the Task Force feels that those to whom the matter is delegated should include a larger num- ber than merely one particular board. The seminaries and colleges are involved but above all the Districts and the comments listed above apply here also. The Task Force recommends that the third resolved of Res. 12-08 be revised to read: Resolved, That the Board uf Directors, with the approval of the Coun- cil of Presidents and after consultation with the Commission on Con- stitutional Matters, shall implement such a program within the Parameters of the adopted Bylaws, such program to be responsive to the results of the aforementioned study; and be it finally That Res. 12-08 be submitted for floor action ftrst after the convention has acted on Res. 2-18 of Floor Committee #2. ._- Naturally, Task Force II stands prepared to discuss this matter before either floor committee if there should be a request to that effect. We do believe that our proposals will bring the actions of the two floor committees into harmony, will do much to abate the storm that has been aroused in at least a few quarters‘as a result of the Board of Directors action in creating a ~ new department just shortly before the convention could act on the matter, and that the participation of all who are directly concerned will be provided for, Fraternally, 7 “x Herbert Mueller Chairman HM: jm cc: Doctor J.A.O.
