It would, however, retain and augment the feature of local control, which we feel to be desirable for many easons and essential for purposes of accreditation. It would also étain the essential feature of synodical supervision in the person fof the President of Synod and the representative of the synodical eBoard for Higher Education. This arrangement would center esponsibility in one Board, the members of which would become noroughly informed in all matters relating to the college.” Since the Handbook Committee felt that a change of this kind s beyond the scope of their powers and suggested that the matter e. presented to Synod itself in the form of a memorial, the Boavd f Control and Faculty of Concordia Teachers College herewith spectfully request that the changes suggested above be per- itted by Synod. , THE Boarp or Controt, ConcorpiA TEACHERS COLLEGE River Forest, Int.
